Episode 9: Building combos

Build your combos. Let them sink in and put them to work!

If you train or enjoy training any form of striking (Boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai). Most of the time, you have a coach directing you or a pad holder telling which strikes to throw.

Now that you’re at home and on your own. How can you create combinations that are smooth, easy to repeat, effective and will give you a really tough workout?

Here’s one way.
Build them.
Use a simple pyramid style of building your combos, 1 strike at a time.

Doing this enables you to focus on great fundamentals, you can work hard, you can hit hard.
And you get to repeat the strikes, the combo and the routine a stack of times.

Here are a few combinations that you can use at home when you’re training.

1,2,body rip, leg kick, 2 (in the video)
1,2,switch knee, step back, kick
1,2,switch kick, 2,3,leg kick
1,1,2,3,2,switch knee, elbow

Keep your hands clean
Keep your heads up
And keep training
